SET, ibinasura ang disqualification case laban kay Sen. Poe

Nanindigan ang Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) na natural-born citizen si Sen. Grace Poe.

Ibinasura kasi ng SET ang motion for reconsideration na inihain ng nagreklamong si Rizalito David.

Tulad ng naunang botohan sa SET, nauwi sa 5-4 ang botohan ng mga kasapi nito, lima ang pumabor kay Poe habang apat naman ang kontra sa kaniya.

Sina Senators Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Loren Legarda, Cynthia Villar, Pia Cayetano at Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino ang bumotong natural-born citizen si Poe.

Nanatili namang disqualified si Poe para kina SET Associate Justices Antonio Carpio and justices Arturo Brion at Teresita Leonardo De Castro, pati na rin si Sen. Nancy Binay.

Matatandaang kinwestyon ni David ang citizenship ni Poe dahil sa pagiging foundling nito at iginiit na stateless ang senadora.
