Boluntaryong aalisin sa merkado ang isang batch ng antibiotic na gamot sa mga respiratory tract infections, leprosy o ketong at iba pang uri ng sakit sa balat.
Ito’y matapos na madiskubre na bagsak ito sa mga laboratory test ayon sa Food and Drugs Administration o FDA.
Ayon sa ahensya, ang gamot na Clarithrocid 250 mg/5 mL granules for suspension, na may generic name na Clarithromycin na may lot number 150947 ay aalisin na sa mga botika.
Ito ay ginagawa ng kumpanyang El Laboratories Inc. sa Biñan, Laguna, at nasa dustribution ng The Cathay Drug Company Inc.
Inaabisuhan ng FDA ang lahat ng mga distributors, retailers, ospital at mga botika na itigil ang pagbebenta ng batch ng naturang gamot at isoli ito sa manufacturer.
Sa oras na ito’y mabawi muli, agad na sisirain ang naturang gamot upang hindi na muling maibenta pa.
