Natanggap ni La Aunor ang Gusi peace prize for international excellence in performing arts and cinema.
Nabatid na ang superstar ang nag-iisang Filipino na napabilang sa 2015 laureates.
Kahanay ni La Aunor na tumanggap ng nasabing parangal sina Dr. Susan Briggs mula sa United States of America, former president Antonio Eanes ng Portugal, Dr. Ivan Mazur ng Ukraine, Dr. Syunji Sano ng Japan, Dr. Hans Lehrach ng Germany, at marami pang iba.
Iginagawad ang Gusi peace prize sa mga natatanging personalidad na nagpapakita ng mabuting halimbawa ng pagsulong ng kapayapaan at pagiging makatao sa kani-kanilang larangan.
