Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang dating pinuno ng Task Force Davao na si Major General Erwin Bernard Neri bilang bagong commander ng Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippine o ISAFP
Bago ang kanyang appointment, si Neri ay deputy ni Lt. General Macairog Alberto na nagsilbing ISAFP chief bago ito itinalaga ng pangulo bilang commanding general ng Philippine Army.
Matapos maupong Army chief noong October 15, pinamunuan ni Neri ang ISAFP sa kanyang acting capacity.
Ayon kay AFP Public Affairs Chief Col. Noel Detoyato, nakatakda ang pormal na turn-over sa linggong ito.
Si Neri, na miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy Class of 1988, ay nagsilbi ring commander ng 101st Brigade sa Compostela Valley bago ito itinalagang deputy ISAFP commnder.
