Noynoy Aquino, sinampahan ng kaso dahil sa umanoy paggamit ng pondo para impluwensiyahan ang pagpapatalsik kay CJ Corona
Sinampahan ng reklamo sa Office of the Ombudsman si dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III dahil sa umanoy paggamit sa pondo ng bayan para impluwensyahan raw ang mga mambabatas na patalsikin si yumaong Chief Justice Renato Corona.
Inihain ni Presidential Anti-Corruption Commissioner Greco Belgica ang reklamong 274 counts ng malversation laban kay Aquino gayundin laban kina dating Budget Sec. Butch Abad at dating Interior Sec. Mar Roxas.
Kasama rin sa asunto ang noo’y kongresista na si Jun Abaya, dating Budget Undersecretary Mario Relampagos at sina Senators Franklin Drilon at Antonio Trillanes IV.
Matatandaan na noong Hunyo ay kinasuhan ng Ombudsman sina Aquino at Abad ng usurpation of legislative powers kaugnay ng kontrobersyal na Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
Nag-ugat ito sa kaso ng umanoy maling realignment ng savings ng gobyerno sa pamamagitan ng National Budget Circular No. 541 para palaguin ang ekonomiya sa ilalim ng administrasyong Aquino.
Sa reklamo, inakusahan ni Belgica ang mga respondents ng pagbuo sa DAP at paggamit umano sa bahagi ng pondo sa pag-impluwensya sa mga kongresista at senador para sa impeachment at conviction ni Corona.
Ang DAP umano ay “premeditated scheme” ng mga respondents para ilipat ang pondo ng gobyerno sa impeachment ni Corona.
Na-impeach si Corona noong December 2011 at na-convict ng Senate impeachment court noong May 2012 dahil sa betrayal of public trust and culpable violation of the Consitution dahil sa hindi umano pagsiwalat ng kanyang yaman.
Pumanaw si Corona sa cardiac arrest noong 2016 sa edad na 67.
