Pangulong Duterte, hindi pwedeng magkaroon ng isa pang termino sa draft federal charter
Hindi pwedeng humirit si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng isa pang termino sakaling maisapinal ang federal government.
Ayon kay Senate President Tito Sotto, sa ilalim ng 1987 constitution ay pwedeng magre-election ang pangalawang pangulo pero hindi ang presidente kaya si Vice President Leni Robredo aniya ay pwedeng tumakbo uli sa isang executive seat.
Pinawi naman ni Sotto ang pangamba sa draft federal charter na binubuo ng Consultative Committee (Con-com).
Sa draft ng Con-com, pwede sa re-election ang presidente at bise presidente pero sinabi na ng Malacañang na walang interes si Pangulong Duterte na palawigin pa ang kanyang panunungkulan.
Ang Con-com, na binubuo ng mga kinatawan mula sa iba’t-ibang sektor, ay inatasan ng Pangulo na pag-aralan ang 1987 Constitution at bumuo ng bagong federal charter.
