Bagong Passenger Terminal Bldg. sa Maasin Airport, bubuksan ngayong araw

Bubuksan na ngayong araw ang bagong passenger terminal sa paliparan sa Maasin.

Pangungunahan ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade ang pagpapasinaya sa Passenger Terminal Building kasama sina DOTr Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo, at CAAP Director General Capt. Jim Sydiongco.

Ang bagong terminal building ng Maasin Airport ay itinayo para makapag-accommodate ng mas marami pang pasahero ang paliparan.

Ang Maasin Airport ay isa sa mga community airports sa ilalim ng CAAP National Airport System at natatanging paliparan sa Southern Leyte.

Noong 2013 ginamit ang Maasin Airport bilang backup entry point para sa mga relief goods at mga gamot na para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Yolanda.
