6 na Pinoy films kalahok sa New York Asian Film Festival
Magpapabilib sa New York City ang anim na mga pelikulang Pilipino para sa ika-17 New York Asian Film Festival.
Kabilang sa mga pelikulang kalahok ay ang “We Will Not Die Tonight” ni Richard Somes, “Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story” ni Irene Emma Villamor, “Respeto” ni Treb Monteras, “Neomanila” Mikhail Red, at “On the Job” at “BuyBust” na parehong dinerehe ni Erik Matti.
Ang naturang film festival ay inorganisa ng Film Society of Lincoln Center at Subway Cinema.
Ayon sa mga organizers, ngayong taon may pinakamaraming entry ang Pilipinas para sa New York Asian Film Festival.
Anila, ‘strong films’ ang “Neomanila,” “Respeto,” at “BuyBust” na lahat ay patungkol sa kampanya ng pamahalaan laban sa iligal na droga.
Batay sa website ng naturang film fest, layunin nito na ipakita ang contemporary society.
