Duterte hindi gagaya kay Trump; Pilipinas hindi kakalas sa UN Human Rights Council
Tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malacañan na hindi susunod si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa yapak ni US President Donald Trump na kumalas sa United Nations Human Rights Council.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, iginagalang ng Pilipinas ang desisyon ng Estados Unidos na kumalas sa naturang organisasyon.
“We are also in the UN Human Rights Council. We are not following suit if that’s the question. The President has no reaction on what the Americans have decided,” pahayag ni Roque.
Sinabi pa ni Roque na maingat ang pangulo sa pagbibigay ng mga komento sa desisyon ng ibang bansa lalo na sa usapin ng soberenya.
“Very careful never to comment on sovereign decisions,” dagdag ni Roque.
Malinaw kasi aniya ang polisya ng pangulo na ayaw nitong pinakikialaman ang sobernya ng Pilipinas.
“You know the President is very careful never to comment on sovereign decisions, in the same way that he does not want other states commenting on sovereign decisions,” pahayag ni roque
Matatandaang noong Martes, nagpasya ang Amerika na kumalas sa UNHRC dahil umano sa pagiging ipokrito at pagkiling sa Israel.
