CBCP pinuri ang desisyon ng DOJ na nagbabalik sa missionary visa ni Sister Fox
Pinuri ng Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) ang naging desisyon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na ibalik ang missionary visa ni Sr. Patricia Fox at manatili ito sa bansa.
Binaliktad ng kagawaran ang naunang desisyon ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na ipawalang bisa ang missionary visa ng madre.
Sa pahayag ni CBCP President at Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles, binibigyang pagpapahalaga ng CBCP ang desisyon ng gobyerno na panatilihin ang missionary visa ni Sr. Fox.
“We sincerely appreciate the decision of our government authorities to keep the missionary visa of Sister Patricia Fox,” ani Valles.
Ang naturang aksyon anya ay isang desisyong matalino at lubhang mapang-unawa para sa 71-anyos na madre.
“We consider this a decision that comes across as wise, very understanding and kind to the 71-year old Australian nun of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion, who for 28 years worked in the Philippines among the poor and marginalized,” dagdag pa ni Valles.
Ipinahayag din ni Valles ang kasiyahan sa pagpayag ng DOJ na ipagpatuloy ng madre ang kanyang missionary works sa bansa habang naka-amba pa ang deportation proceedings ng BI sa kanyang kaso.
