Pilipinas gustong bumili ng submarines sa Russia o South Korea
Ikinukunsidera ng Pilipinas na bumili ng submarines sa Russia o South Korea bilang bahagi ng modernisasyon ng militar.
Ayon kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, ang planong ito ay nasa Third Horizon ng Revised Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program (RAFPMP).
Gayunman, sinabi ni Lorenzana na hindi maihahatid ang submarines sa panahon ng Administrasyon Duterte. Aniya, inaabot kasi ng lima hanggang walong taon ang paggawa nito.
Dagdag ni Lorenzana, kinakailangan ng bansa ang submarines para sa seguridad dahil maging ang mga kalapit-bansa ng Pilipinas ay mayroon din nito.
