Pope Francis umaasang magreresulta sa kapayapaan ang summit sa Singapore
Umaasa si Pope Francis na magdudulot ng kapayapaan sa Korean Peninsula at sa buong mundo ang nakatakdang pulong nina North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at US President Donald Trump.
Ipinahayag ng Santo Papa ang kanyang panalangin para sa pulong na magaganap bukas, araw ng Martes sa Singapore.
“I want, once more, to offer the beloved people of Korea an especial thought of friendship and prayer that the talks which will take place in the coming days in Singapore can contribute to the development of a positive path that guarantees a peaceful future for the Korean peninsula and for the whole world,” ayon kay Pope Francis.
Hinimok ng lider ng Simbahang Katolika ang lahat ng tao na idulog sa Birheng Maria ang nakatakdang summit para bigyan ito ng paggabay.
“Let us together invoke Our Lady, Queen of Korea. May she guide these talks,” dagdag pa niya.
Nasa Singapore na sina Kim at Trump na hiwalay na nakapulong si Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
