Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda, naiuwi ang Palme d’Or award sa 2018 Cannes

Nauwi ni Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda ang Palme d’Or award sa 2018 Cannes Film Festival para sa kanyang pelikulang “Shoplifters.”

Hinangaan ng audience ang naturang pelikula dahil sa pagpapakita ng buhay-pamilya at plot twists nito.

Nagkaroon pa ng spekulasyon at mga ugong-ugong na isang babaeng direktor ang mananalo sa naturang award ngunit ang Japanese director pa rin ang nagwagi.

Spike Lee – Grand Prix award para sa “Blackkklansman”

Nadine Labaki mula sa Lebanon – Jury Prize para sa “Capharnaum”

Lukas Dhont – Camera d’Or for the Best Directorial debut para sa pelikulang “Girl.”
