DPWH, nagpaalalang bawal ang election posters sa national roads

Nagpaalala ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na bawal magpaskil o magkabit ng election posters sa mga national roads na may mga mensahe o advertisements at nakakaka-distract sa mga motorista.

Dahil dito, hinimok ng kagawaran ang publiko na i-report ang mga road right-of-way (RROW) violations na tulad nito.

Ayon sa DPWH, may ilang mga posters na kadalasang ikinakabit sa national roads na nais mag-promote sa mga negosyo at indibidwal tuwing election season.

Sinabi ni DPWH Sec. Mark Villar na mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang mga ito alinsunod sa probisyon ng Section 23 ng Presidential Decree (PD) No. 17 o Revised Philippine Highway Act and the National Building Code of the Philippines.

Bagaman anya mayroong tauhan ang DPWH para bantayan at tanggalin ang mga ipinagbabawal na poster ay dapat i-report ng publiko ang mga RROW violations upang madaling maaksyunan ng kagawaran ayon kay Villar.
