Suhulan sa pag-apruba ng LTO sa prangkisa ng mga sasakyan, pinaiimbestigahan ni Sen. Poe
Nanawagan si Sen. Grace Poe sa mga otoridad na imbestigahan ang proseso ng inspeksyon ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) para sa vehicle registration at franchising kasunod ng aksidente sa Occidental Mindoro.
Ayon kay Poe, Chairperson ng Senate Public Services Committee, nakatanggap siya ng mga reports ng umano’y suhulan sa LTO kapalit ng pag-apruba sa registration o prangkisa ng sasakyan.
“Information that reached us said that in paper, motor vehicles undergo and pass the test, but the reality is a number of them were never tested,” pahayag ng senadora sa isang statement.
“As disclosed by some concerned citizens, some LTO employees allegedly receive bribe during the stage of vehicle inspection in exchange for approval even without the physical inspection of vehicles,” dagdag ni Poe.
Dagdag nito, dapat na dumaan sa istriktong pagsusuri ang mga prangkisa ng bus na sangkot o may rekord ng aksidente.
Dahil dito ay nagpanukala si Poe ng bill na bubuo ng independent agency na mag-iimbestiga sa transportation-related accidents.
