Drug case laban kina Kerwin Espinosa at Peter Lim ibinasura
Inabswelto ng National Prosecution Service (NPS) ang sinasabing drug lord na si Peter Lim at Kerwin Espinosa kaugnay ng kinakaharap nitong drug case sa Department of Justice.
Kaugnay ito ng mga kasong paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act o Republic Act 9165 na isinampa ng PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group dahil sa illegal drug trade sa Visayas Region.
Sa 41-pahinang resolusyon na pirmado ni Acting Prosecutor General Jorge Catalan, ibinasura din ng DOJ ang kaso laban sa iba pang respondents na kinabibilangan nina Peter Co, Marcelo Adorco, Max Miro at Lovely Impal.
Ang nasabing resolusyon ay sasailalim sa automatic review ni Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.
Ang kaso ay matatandaang base sa ibinigay na testimonya ng witness na si Marcelo Adorco, dating tauhan ni Espinosa na ibinulgar na sina Lim at Co ang supplier ng droga ng Espinosa Drug Group.
Pero ayon sa NPS, bukod sa hindi magkakatugma ang mga ibinigay na impormasyon ni Adorco, itinuring din nila na self-serving ang testimonya nito dahil wala ipinrisinta ang PNP-CIDg na corroborating statement.
