Impeachment vs Sereno posibleng sa Hulyo pa matalakay ng Senado
Hindi agad maasikaso sa Senado kung sakaling maiakyat sa kanila ang impeachment case laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ito ang inamin ni Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Ayon kay Sotto, matatapat kasi ito sa bakasyon ng mga mambabatas sa Holy Week, at adjournment sine die.
Sa pagtaya ng senador, posibleng Hulyo o pagkatapos ng State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte pa uusad ang impeachment case laban kay Sereno sa senado.
Nakatakdang pagbotohan ng House justice committee ang determination of probable cause sa kaso ng punong mahistrado sa susunod na linggo.
