Overall Deputy Ombudsman Melchor Arthur Carandang, pinabibitbit na palabas ng opisina
Hiniling sa Malakanyang na pwersahin nang paalisin sa kaniyang opisina si Overall Deputy Ombudsman Melchor Arthur H. Carandang matapos na tumanggi si Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales na ipatupad ang 90-araw na suspensiyon laban sa opisyal.
Sa petisyon na inihain sa Office of the President, hiniling nina Atty. Manuelito Luna at Eligio Mallari at mga dating kongresista na sina Jacinto “Jing” Paras at Glenn Chong na pwersahang alisin sa pwesto si Carandang.
Partikular na hiniling ng apat na pisikal o bitbitin palabas ng kaniyang opisina ang nasabing opisyal.
“It is respectfully prayed of the honorable office to cause respondent Overall Deputy Ombudsman Melchor Arthur H. Carandang to be bodily or physically remove from office or restrained from the exercise thereof (for a period of 90 days counted from date of actual suspension), through the use of necessary and reasonable force,” nakasaad sa petisyon.
Si Carandang ay pinatawan ng suspensyon ng Malakanyang dahil sa isinagawang imbestigasyon laban kay Pangulong Duterte kaugnay ng kaniyang mga bank account.
Tumanggi naman si Morales na ipatupad ang kautusan sa pagsasabing hindi sakop ng Malacañang ang mga opisyal ng Office of the Ombudsman.
