NPA bomb expert, 4 na iba pa, arestado sa Isabela
Naaresto sa Ilagan City sa Isabela ang hinihinalang bomb expert na miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) at apat na iba pang rebelde.
Si Mauricio Sagun ang umano ay namumuno sa NPA Training, Demolition and Explosives Team at eksperto sa paggawa ng at paggamit ng improvised explosive devices at landmines.
Ayon kay Army Capt. Jefferson Somera, tagapagsalita ng 5th Infantry Division, nadakip si Sagun sa kaniyang bahay sa Barangay San Antonio Centro.
Kasama ring nadakip sina Mario Turqueza, 65-anyos; Maximiano Domingo, 41-anyos; Ariel Peñaflor, 48-anyos; at Bernard Peñaflor, 21-anyos, na pawang residente ng San Mariano, Isabela.
Ang apat ay pawang bagong recruit para maging kasapi ng NPA Sparrow Unit.
Nakuha mula sa bahay ni Sagun ang three granada, isang caliber 9-mm Pietro Beretta, isang Cal. 38 pistol, dalawang blasting caps, at rolyo ng detonating cords.
