Kung gusto ng China, pwede nila kaming gawing probinsya.
Ito ang biro ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa harap ng mga delegado at negosyanteng Chinese at Filipino sa 10th Biennial National Convention and 20th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI).
Sa komento ng pangulo, sinabi nitong kung nanaisin ng China, maari namang gawing ‘province of the Philippines ng Republic of China’ ang ating bansa.
Umani ng tawanan mula sa mga Chinese na negosyante at mga opisyal ang naging biro ni Pangulo kabilang na si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua.
Samantala, iginiit naman ng pangulo na hindi magtatayo ng struktura ang China sa Scarborough shoal.
Ito aniya ang naging pagtitiyak sa kanya ni Chinese President Xi Jinping.
