De Lima nanguna sa “list of 5 political prisoners” sa Southeast Asia

Si Senator Leila de Lima ang nanguna sa “list of 5 political prisoners in Southeast Asia na inilabas kamakailan sa artikulo ng foreign news website na ‘Asian Correspondent’.

Sa nasabing artikulo na may titulong “Democracy behind bars: A look at the cases of 5 jailed Asean leaders,” tinalakay ang kaso ng limang “politically-persecuted leaders” mula sa Pilipinas, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia at Thailand.

Sa listahan, si De Lima ang nanguna sa ranggokasunod sina dating Malaysia prime minister Anwar Ibrahim, dating Jakarta governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama, Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) leader Kem Sokha, at dating Thai prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Sa artikulo tinukoy si De Lima bilang kritiko ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at nakulong dahil sa kasong illegal drug trading.

Ikinabahala naman ni De Lima ang aniya ay panggigipit sa mga opposition members sa Southeast Asia.
